5-Stand Sporting Clays

The 5-Stand was started in August of 2004, featuring seven Pro-Matic auto traps. The course is changed about every 6 weeks to challenge every level of shooter with a variety of Standard, Midi, Rabbit, and Battue targets.

 For new shooters, the way 5-stand works is this: 5 targets are thrown from one of seven different traps. You get a single, for which you have a 2-shot option, followed by two pair.  After each shooter has shot on the first station they move to the next, similar to the rotation in trap. One round consists of 25 targets. Shooters should carry 30-35 shells for each round, to cover 2-shot options and repeats on broken targets.
